"REACH WAR MEMORIAL"
To the eternal memory of the men of REACH who died in the service of their country
Eight in the Great War of 1914-1919
On the Fair Green by the road side in Reach a red Mansfield stone square capped pillar on a double plinth surrounded by a gravelled area enclosed by a low
post and chain fence. The inscription is on one face only. Built in the early 1920's, in 2002, with a grant of £250 towards the cost from the War Memorials Trust, the memorial was cleaned, concrete replaced where necessary, the chains were repainted and the posts fixed. All the lettering was re-cut and painted black. The re-dedication took place on November 10th 2009. There are no names for 1939-1945 as Reach was lucky enough to have all her men return home.
